ABOUT CAPE TOWN RESORT

THE RESORT COLLECTIONS

The Cape Town Resort Collections, now in its fifth year, has grown tremendously, expanding to feature designers from across South Africa and Africa. This event celebrates the essence of resort wear, perfectly suited to South Africa’s sexy climate, making it an ideal destination for fashion enthusiasts.

The Resort Collections champion the innovative “see now, buy now” concept, allowing guests to purchase their favorite pieces immediately after the show. This initiative not only makes high-end fashion accessible but also supports local manufacturing and emerging talent.

We are proud to foster young designers through the Futurewear program, which acts as an incubator for new talent. This program is a collaboration with Pick n Pay Clothing, aiming to nurture creativity and commercial sensibility in up-and-coming designers. Our commitment to local fashion extends to sourcing a significant portion of our collections from within South Africa, contributing to the growth of the local economy and job creation. The concept of the show is always based on attractive location coupled with premium hospitality.

Join us as we celebrate the fusion of fashion, innovation, and South African culture at the Cape Town Resort Collections.

Gavin Rajah

There is a place nestling in the shadows of mountains where you can hear the ancestors drumming beneath its waters at night.

A body of water so sacred it is looked after by the Vhatavhatsindi, the People of the Pool, and guarded over by the python god who reigns nearby.

That ecological treasure, the only lake in the world known to have been formed by a cataclysmic landslide millions of years ago, is called Fundudzi.

It is the place which inspired the formation of Fundudzi by Craig Jacobs, a conduit to tell African stories while humbly, proudly and determinedly celebrating artisanship through carefully crafted garments and accessories.

Fundudzi by Craig Jacobs is Modern. Meaningful. Inimitably African.
